College Survival Guide for Students and Parents

For students and parents. The Interior Castle was established to help college students and families grow in Faith. Here’s how we can help. 

1. The Interior Castle is a restful place, an oasis one block from Lexington’s Main Street. Relax, enjoy a cup of (free) Catholic Coffee, pray a little, browse our books, find something to bring Jesus, Mary, the saints … the Faith … into your life in this new college setting. 

2. Practice “thinking out loud” as you reflect on what you’ve heard in the classroom and how to respond to it in charity and clarity. 

3. The space is available for a Bible study or reading group, or a Catholic game night. 

4. Send your collegian a gift bag to lift his spirits while in the Rat Line, or her spirits during exams. Or just to let you know you are thinking of them. It’s easy for them to swing by the store to pick up their special gift(s), or we'll deliver to VMI.
